Depression
Staff: Since you are seeing me then must be mental health issues in your life.
Patient: I had many misfortunes in my life, a lot of bad luck.
Staff: Do you want to talk about it?
Patient: No.
Staff: When you mention your mental health symptoms to your psychiatrist you are reinforcing your mental illness and this is not good for your mental health.
Patient: I cannot forget what happened. I am worried that I could have been a better person.
Staff: No one had a perfect life. It is best not to blame yourself for what happened and try to find something useful to do.
Patient: I have little motivation and I feel distracted by my mental illness.
Staff: There will always be distractions. You need to find something that you are interested in doing.
Patient: I am procrastinating too much.
Staff: Procrastination is partly caused by past discouragement from others. Discouragement could be a form of bullying. The stress from fighting procrastination might prevent someone from overcoming procrastination.
Patient: At times my mind is filled with too many plans and ideas. I do not know which one to choose.
Staff: Some people spend their whole life doing different jobs, having many friends without seeing similarities and patterns between them.
Patient: I guess doing all ideas will make me feel that life is a joke. I can try asking people I know for suggestions.
